The Australasian Society of Feline Medicine is an exciting new association for all professionals who are involved in the care of cats. www.asfm.com.au

The ASFM's objective is to promote feline health and welfare within Veterinary medicine and practices by:

• Form a body of like-minded professionals who enjoy feline practice
• Provide access to a comprehensive source of educational literature for vets, nurses, students, cat owners and the community in general.
• Support and advertise all feline continuing education organisations and events.
• Promote the internationally recognised “Cat Friendly Clinic” Accreditation Scheme for veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout the region.
• Report and share information regarding feline practice from local experiences and from those around the world.
• Work in conjunction with existing Veterinary organisations to help develop policies, position statements and best practice guidelines for feline issues specific to our region.
• Develop and disseminate policies, position statements and best practice guidelines for feline issues specific to the region.

The Australasian Society of Feline Medicine has been formed to promote the wellbeing of cats in Australia & New Zealand.
